Aged for 12 months in oak barrique - 50 % Slavonian, 50% French.

Tasting notes

The nose resembles tobacco leaves, gunflint, blackcurrant, fresh plum, eucalyptus, and violet. The palate is extremely fruity, fresh, and rich. Soft tannins are in perfect harmony with freshness.

About Matalj

The Mladenović-Matalj family has been engaged in the production of top quality grapes and wine for several decades, and since 2007, the project to restore old vineyards and expand the capacity of the cellars began. Negotin’s district is located in the flatlands surrounded by the Miroč, Crni Vrh and Deli Jovan mountains on one and Dunav and Timok rivers on the other side. On the sandy soils of this area are grown the most beautiful sorts of red grapes out of which are made fragrant red wines.
