About Winery Lakicevic

Kosovo explained

Viticulture in Kosovo has been and remains and important part of the regions socio-economic development. With vineyards reduced by two thirds as a result of the last war the region is going through a period of rebirth with a number of high-quality producers and developing sub-regions. Kosovo has a warm Mediterranean climate. Agroclimatic conditions are suitable for the development of vineyards, most particularly early varieties. Kosovos high annual number of sunny days (276) provide optimal ripening conditions across the winemaking region.
